Tamarangis discoveries in Room 10

18th February 2020
Here is Tamarangi enjoying some time exploring with the white board makers. Tamarangi discovered that he could right on the big white board and then to mine and Whaea Junes surprise reach his leg right on up and rub it off. You cracked us up Tamarangi as you made this discovery in such a funny way.
Tamarangi showed us how flexible he is and how curiosity is always a great way to discover and learn new things. Play is an important part of all children's development, it is how they observe, inquire and develop an appreciation of the world around them. Tamarangi loved this time and has done it again on a few other occasions, showing us how he can now take the cap off and draw some cool pictures on the small whiteboard then once again using his feet to wipe it off. The next time Tamarangi sat down and took a look at his feet to see if there was any ink on them.
To his surprise there was which made him draw and rub it off even more, all the while laughing and enjoying this moment. It is important for Tamarangi to know he is free to explore, extending his understanding of what you put in will show in the end results as he found a variety of ways to use the whiteboard pen, building on his curiosity, pure beauty and joy of play through his investigations.
